Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth Unveils Optimized PC Specs

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K

Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Just two weeks before the PC launch, the company emphasized the requirement of a high-end graphics card boasting 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay.

The game leverages DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6, and DirectX 12 Ultimate, underscoring its demanding nature. This announcement follows the PS5 Pro enhancement patch released in November, further optimizing the game for Sony's upgraded console. Unlike Final Fantasy 7 Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any post-launch DLC, as Square Enix is fully focused on developing Part 3 of the Remake series.

While initial PC specs were shared at The Game Awards, this update clarifies the need for 12-16GB VRAM for 4K resolution on graphics cards such as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or better (needing Shader Model 6.6 and DirectX 12 Ultimate support). Other minimum requirements include a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 operating system, 155GB of SSD storage, and 16GB of RAM. Recommended CPU options include the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel Core i7-8700.

Here's a summary of the updated PC specifications:
