Dying Light 2's thrilling new game mode, Tower Raid, is finally here! This dynamic, roguelite-inspired addition offers unpredictable gameplay and intense survival challenges. Following extensive testing, Tower Raid provides a completely fresh perspective on the infected world.
Forget Aiden Caldwell; players assume the role of one of four unique warrior archetypes: Tank, Brawler, Ranger, or Specialist. Each class boasts distinct abilities, encouraging diverse playstyles and collaborative strategies. For the ultimate test, players can even tackle the tower solo or with a reduced team.
Three difficulty levels—Quick, Normal, and Elite—adjust the intensity and run length. Procedural generation ensures each tower ascent is unique, with ever-changing floor layouts and enemy encounters demanding adaptability.
Techland's innovative progression system transforms failure into opportunity. Each failed attempt unlocks new abilities and weapons, gradually increasing chances of success. At the tower's summit, players can encounter Sola, a mysterious merchant offering rare rewards such as the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol.
Even with Dying Light: The Beast on the horizon, Techland's commitment to Dying Light 2's evolution continues throughout 2025. Planned updates include improved co-op, refined matchmaking, enhanced community map integration, additional Tower Raid characters, new melee and ranged weapons, a new weapon class, prologue enhancements, and significant graphical and technical improvements.
