Zenless Zone Zero Tier List: December 24, 2024 Update

HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) boasts a diverse cast of characters, each with unique mechanics and synergy potential. This tier list ranks all available Agents in version 1.0, reflecting the current meta. Note that tier lists are dynamic and subject to change with new content and balance updates. For example, while Grace was initially top-tier, the addition of powerful Anomaly units like Miyabi has shifted her ranking.

S-Tier

S-Tier Agents excel in their roles and offer strong synergy with others.

• Miyabi: A top-tier Frost Agent dealing massive damage with swift attacks. Requires strategic play to maximize her potential.

• Jane Doe: A superior version of Piper, boasting significantly higher Assault Anomaly damage thanks to critical hits. Despite the inherent slowness of Anomaly DPS, her power places her among the top Agents.

• Yanagi: Specializes in triggering Disorder, activating its effects without needing to apply Shock on top of existing Anomalies. An ideal partner for Miyabi.

• Zhu Yuan: An exceptional DPS with rapid-fire shotshells. Works well with Stun and Support Agents, particularly Qingyi and Nicole in version 1.1.

• Caesar: Redefines the role of a Defensive Agent, offering exceptional protection, powerful buffs, debuffs, and crowd control. Scales with Impact, easily stunning enemies.

• Qingyi: A versatile Stunner, ideal for teams with Attack Agents. Quickly builds Daze and applies significant damage multipliers to stunned enemies, surpassing Lycaon and Koleda in this regard, except in Ellen teams where Lycaon's Ice synergy is superior.

• Lighter: A Stun Agent with significant buffs, best suited for Fire and Ice teams.

• Lycaon: An Ice Stun Agent relying on charged attacks to apply Ice and Daze. His ability to reduce Ice resistance and boost Daze DMG makes him essential in Ice teams.

• Ellen: An Ice Attack Agent synergizing exceptionally well with Lycaon and Soukaku. Deals substantial damage, especially with her EX Special Attacks and Ultimate.

• Harumasa: A free-to-obtain Electric Attack Agent who delivers powerful hits with proper setup.

• Soukaku: A Support Agent providing Ice buffs, enhancing the effectiveness of Ice units like Ellen and Lycaon.

• Rina: A Support Agent dealing damage while granting PEN (defense ignore) to allies. Excels at building Shock Anomaly and buffing Shock reactions.

A-Tier

A-Tier Agents are strong in specific team compositions or excel in their roles, but are outperformed by S-Tier options in overall utility.

• Nicole: An Ether Support, pulling enemies into energy fields and boosting Ether DMG while shredding enemy DEF. Her effectiveness is limited to Ether DPS units.

• Seth: A solid shield and support, but less impactful than top-tier buffers like Soukaku and Caesar, particularly due to his niche focus on Anomaly DPS.

• Lucy: Provides off-field DMG and ATK% buffs. Synergy with other Agents enhances her DPS.

• Piper: While her kit centers around her powerful EX Special Attack, it remains highly effective when paired with other Anomaly units to consistently trigger Disorder.

• Grace: Remains relevant for Anomaly teams, but the influx of new Anomaly Agents diminishes her overall standing.

• Koleda: A reliable Fire/Stun Agent, effective in teams with other Fire characters. Synergizes well with Ben.

• Anby: A reliable Stunner with fluid combos, but suffers from interruption vulnerability compared to other Stun Agents.

• Soldier 11: Deals high DMG with straightforward mechanics, but lacks the strategic depth of other top Agents.

B-Tier

B-Tier Agents offer some utility but are outclassed by higher-tier options.

• Ben: The only defensive Agent in version 1.0, offering parrying and punishing capabilities but lacking team-wide benefits outside of a Crit Rate buff. His slow speed and reliance on parrying hinder his overall effectiveness.

• Nekomata: Deals high AoE DMG but heavily relies on team synergy, currently hindered by limited supportive options within her Element and Faction.

C-Tier

C-Tier Agents currently offer limited value compared to other options.

• Corin: Deals Physical DMG, excelling against stunned enemies, but outperformed by Nekomata and Piper.

• Billy: Deals decent damage but is outclassed by other DPS characters.

• Anton: While his Core Skill offers continuous Shock DMG, his low DPS and single-target attacks limit his overall impact.
