This year's Pokémon Sleep winter holiday event brings two adorable new Pokémon: Eevee in a Santa hat, Pawmi, and Alolan Vulpix! Learn how to add these charming creatures to your collection.
Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Arrival in Pokémon Sleep
The festive Pokémon Sleep Dream Shard Research event, featuring Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, runs the week of December 23rd, 2024. Increased encounter rates for both Pokémon are in effect throughout the event. Shiny versions will also be available!
Catching Pawmi
Pawmi appears on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant, starting December 23rd at 3 PM. Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot are all "Snoozing" type Pokémon. Achieving a Snoozing sleep type (a light, common sleep pattern) significantly increases your chances of encountering them. A Balanced sleep type also offers a chance, though lower odds.
Catching Alolan Vulpix
Alolan Vulpix, appearing on Snowdrop Tundra only (starting December 23rd at 3 PM), is more challenging to find. Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails are "Slumbering" type, requiring a deep, 8-hour sleep for optimal encounter rates. While a Balanced sleep type may yield results, it’s less likely.
Best Island for the Holiday Event
To maximize your chances of catching both Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, focus your efforts on Snowdrop Tundra during the event. Note that Snowdrop Tundra requires a higher-level team.
Pokémon GO is available on iOS and Android.
