Marvel SNAP's initial Spotlight Cache card for 2025, Victoria Hand, is an Ongoing character that enhances cards generated within your hand. While often categorized as a card-generation archetype staple, Victoria Hand surprisingly excels in discard decks as well. This guide presents two robust Victoria Hand decks, one for each archetype, to help you integrate her into the current SNAP meta.

Victoria Hand Deck Synergies
- Victoria Hand boosts cards added to your hand by card generators.
- Agent Coulson, Agent 13, Mirage, Frigga, Valentina, Kate Bishop, and Moon Girl serve as your card generators. (Frigga and Moon Girl also duplicate key cards like Victoria Hand for added buffs or disruption.)
- Quinjet reduces the cost of generated cards, enabling you to play more.
- The Collector's strength increases with each generated card.
- Cosmo acts as your tech card, protecting Devil Dinosaur and Victoria Hand from most enemy attacks when played in the same lane.
- Devil Dinosaur is your win condition, ideally played after Moon Girl or when you have numerous generated cards in hand.
Reports suggest Victoria Hand might buff cards generated in the opponent's hand or cards that change locations. Whether this is a bug or intended behavior remains unclear. If not a bug, the card text requires clarification, as it explicitly states the buff applies to cards generated in "your" hand. Regardless, it's a factor to consider when using Victoria Hand decks.
Effective Victoria Hand Gameplay
Employing a Victoria Hand deck effectively involves:
- Balancing Card Generation and Energy: Aim for a full hand to maximize Devil Dinosaur's power, but also allocate space for card generation and Victoria Hand's effect. Efficient energy management is crucial; sometimes skipping a turn to maintain a full hand outweighs filling the board.
- Using Joker Cards for Deception: Victoria Hand decks generate many random cards. Strategically deploying these as feints distracts opponents and keeps them guessing.
- Protecting Your Ongoing Lane: Opponents often target the Victoria Hand lane with tech cards like Enchantress. Counter this by playing Devil Dinosaur and Victoria Hand in the same lane (creating an Ongoing setup) and protecting them with Cosmo.
Alternative Discard Deck for Victoria Hand
Victoria Hand is also finding a place in refined discard decks in the current meta. Pair her with: Helicarrier, MODOK, Morbius, Scorn, Blade, Apocalypse, Swarm, Corvus Glaive, Colleen Wing, Lady Sif, and The Collector.

Countering Victoria Hand
Super Skrull is an effective counter to Victoria Hand in the current meta. Many players utilize Doctor Doom 2099 decks, which Skrull also counters, making him a strong tech card against both Victoria Hand and Doom 2099 lineups.
Other counters include Shadow King (removes Victoria Hand's buffs from one lane) and Enchantress (removes all Ongoing effects). Valkyrie, played in a critical enemy lane, can disrupt their Power distribution.
Is Victoria Hand a Valuable Acquisition?
Victoria Hand is a worthwhile card. Whether acquired through the Spotlight Cache or purchased with Tokens, she offers a strong return on investment. While her effectiveness relies somewhat on RNG, her permanent buffs facilitate consistent deck building. Her compatibility with multiple archetypes, such as card-generation and discard, makes her a valuable asset for many players.
