Marvel Rivals Gets Suit from PlayStation's Spider-Man 2 Later This Month

Marvel Rivals welcomes an unexpected crossover: the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is joining the game as a new skin!

PlayStation made the announcement via an X/Twitter post, showcasing NetEase Games' adaptation of this iconic suit for their hero shooter.

This stylish Spider-Man suit, originally designed by Insomniac Games for Marvel's Spider-Man, has appeared in all three games of the series. Its distinctive white spider emblem sets it apart. This Marvel Rivals addition marks a surprising collaboration with Sony and their console-exclusive superhero title. Get ready to see Spider-Man's Advanced Suit 2.0 in the in-game store on January 30th, coinciding with Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PC release.

Launched in December, Marvel Rivals already boasts a wide array of unlockable suits. This Spidey suit stands out, however, due to its connection to the immensely popular PlayStation series and the return of Yuri Lowenthal as Spider-Man's voice. Lowenthal voiced Peter Parker in all three Insomniac Spider-Man games and lends his voice to the Marvel Rivals version. Players acquiring the suit on January 30th will find the experience familiar and satisfying.

NetEase's inclusion of Spider-Man's Advanced Suit 2.0 provides players with another exciting addition to the game, especially considering the Season 1: Eternal Night Falls content drop last week. This season introduced Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four as playable characters, with The Thing and Human Torch arriving shortly. Creative director Guangyun Chen has also promised at least one new hero every six weeks.
