In this text-based adventure, you step into the shoes of Debbie, a girl who, on her 18th birthday, faces expulsion from school, betrayal by her best friend, and a car accident. With nothing left to lose, when she receives a mysterious key and a letter directing her to the titular house, she decides to unravel the mystery behind it.
As you navigate through dozens of escape room-style puzzles, you'll need to use all your ingenuity to ensure Debbie's survival, especially with a mysterious figure watching from the sidewalk. Your House combines the thrill of solving puzzles with the suspense of a text-based thriller, making for an engaging experience.
Now, I might be painting Your House as more sinister than it truly is. However, there's no denying the spooky undercurrent that runs through this escape room-style puzzler. As you explore the various nooks and crannies of your new home, the game offers plenty of visuals to complement the text-based narration, making it well worth a look.
Be prepared for some intense tapping, though. While Catherine praised Your House in her review, she did mention the need for a bit more patience due to the game's controls. If you're willing to take things slow and examine each screen carefully, you may find the slow-burn pace rewarding.
