WPSApp

This app, WPSApp, assesses your WiFi network's security using the WPS protocol. Many routers have vulnerabilities in their WPS PINs, making them susceptible to unauthorized access. WPSApp leverages known algorithms and default PINs to attempt connections and identify weaknesses.

The app's functionality extends beyond PIN testing. It calculates default keys for certain routers, displays stored WiFi passwords (requires root access), scans connected devices, and analyzes WiFi channel quality.

Network security status is visually indicated:

• Red cross: Secure network; WPS disabled or PIN unknown.
• Question mark: WPS enabled, but PIN unknown (app attempts common PINs).
• Green tick: Potentially vulnerable; WPS enabled and PIN known, or password known. (Root access is needed to view passwords on some devices.)

Important Considerations:

• Not all networks are vulnerable. Firmware updates often patch WPS vulnerabilities.
• Root access is required for password viewing (Android 9/10 and above) and some advanced features.
• Android 6 (Marshmallow) and higher require location permissions.
• Samsung devices may encrypt passwords, displaying hexadecimal codes instead of plain text. Decryption information may be found online.
• LG devices running Android 7 (Nougat) may have PIN connection issues. This is due to LG's software.
• Use this app responsibly. Unauthorized network access is illegal. If you find vulnerabilities, immediately disable WPS and create a strong, unique password. The developer is not responsible for misuse.
