How to Play Okey Game

The offline Okey game is traditionally played with 4 players. Each player uses a cue stick to sort their tiles. The game includes tiles in four colors: Red, Black, Yellow, and Blue, numbered from 1 to 13, along with two fake Okey tiles, making a total of 106 tiles.

At the start of the game, all tiles are shuffled and automatically distributed to the players. The player to the left of the dealer receives 15 tiles, while the others get 14. Players then organize their tiles into groups or pairs according to their cues.

The undrawn tiles are placed in the middle of the table, and an open numbered tile serves as the indicator stone. The tile matching the indicator stone in color and number becomes the Okey Stone, which can be used as any tile in the game. Completing the game with an Okey tile doubles the points earned.

Tile Arrangement in Okey

Players aim to arrange their tiles into at least three pairs. These pairs can be formed in two ways: sequentially by color or by matching numbers across different colors.

To finish the game, a player must arrange all tiles into seven pairs and drag the last tile to the middle of the table.

Okey Game Rules

At the start of a new game, the next player reveals the indicator tile. If it's an Okey-colored tile, the game proceeds; otherwise, 2 points are deducted from the player.

The game ends when a player discards their last tile. If it's not an Okey, it's a normal finish, deducting 2 points from opponents, or 4 if it's Okey-colored. Finishing with seven pairs deducts 4 points from other players. Completing a color set from 1 to 13 results in zero points for opponents, ending the game. If all tiles are the same color but not in order, 8 points are deducted from other players.
