World of Warcraft's Detective Title Remains Accessible: A Guide to Finding Alyx and the Missing Celebration Crates
World of Warcraft players can still earn the coveted Detective title and pursue the elusive Incognitro Felcycle mount, even after the 20th-anniversary event concluded. This is thanks to the relocation of Alyx, the key NPC for the Guest Relations mystery questline.
Alyx, a Lightforged Draenei, has been moved to Dornogal. Specifically, they're situated between the Delver's Headquarters and the stairs leading to the Foundation Hall. Alyx, now titled "Volunteer Event Coordinator, Among Other Things," retains their crucial clue board detailing the locations of 11 missing Celebration Crates.
Obtaining the Detective Title:
- Locate Alyx: Find Alyx in Dornogal using the provided location description. (Note: Players must be at least level 68 to access Dornogal, and level 10 to begin Celebration Crate quests.)
- Collect the Crates: Use the clues on Alyx's board to discover the 11 hidden Celebration Crates scattered throughout the World of Warcraft.
- Claim Your Rewards: Return the crates to Alyx. Six crates unlock the "Crate Insurance Agent" achievement, while all 11 grant "No Crate Left Behind," "Azeroth's Greatest Detective," and the crucial Detective title. The Detective title is the key to unlocking the Incognitro mount questline.
Important Note: While the Detective title and Incognitro mount quest remain accessible, the other Guest Relations quests from the anniversary event are no longer available. This means achievements like "Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager" and "I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats," along with their associated rewards, are now unobtainable.
This strategic move by Blizzard ensures players aren't locked out of this unique mount, even after the event's conclusion. While some anniversary content is lost, the persistence of the Detective title and its associated mount quest provides a lasting reward for dedicated players.
