Mastering Support in Marvel Rivals: A Tier List of Strategist Characters

Marvel Rivals boasts a diverse roster of iconic characters, but while damage dealers often steal the spotlight, strategic support units are crucial for team survival. This guide ranks the seven available support characters, focusing on their healing and buffing capabilities. While Jeff is popular, he's not the only game-changer.

Mantis excels at healing and buffing allies. Her orb-consuming damage buff and self-heal (orbs regenerate automatically, and headshots instantly replenish one) make her potent, especially for skilled players who consistently land headshots. However, her fragility requires careful positioning.

Luna Snow, another top-tier strategist, offers versatile healing and damage. Her Ice Art ability enhances both, and her Ultimate, Fate of Both Worlds, provides AoE healing or damage, depending on positioning. Her ease of use makes her ideal for newcomers. Her damage output is secondary to her support role.

Adam Warlock and Cloack & Dagger

Adam Warlock's ability to revive multiple fallen allies with his Quantum Zone Ultimate, granting temporary invincibility, makes him a valuable asset. His Soul Bond skill shares damage and provides a heal-over-time effect.

Cloak & Dagger offers a unique blend of support and damage. Cloak's attacks heal or damage, and she possesses self-healing. Dagger focuses on damage and applying Vulnerability debuffs. Dark Teleportation enhances ally movement speed and provides invisibility.

B Tier

Rocket Raccoon, Jeff, and Loki in Marvel Rivals.

Jeff the Land Shark, while popular, lacks the robust healing of higher-tier characters, making him less effective in extended battles. His simplicity is beginner-friendly, but his limited kit pales in comparison to others.

Loki's effectiveness hinges on player skill and strategy. He heals allies and summons decoys, but precise illusion placement is crucial to avoid environmental obstructions. His Ultimate allows shapeshifting into any hero for 15 seconds.

Rocket Raccoon prioritizes utility and damage over pure healing. His Respawn Machine revives allies, but his kit leans towards hybrid DPS. His small size makes him a vulnerable target.

Ultimately, the best support character depends on individual playstyle and enjoyment. This tier list serves as a guide, but your personal preference should be the deciding factor.

Marvel Rivals is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
