Thermite: Your Key to Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2 Vaults
Season 2's Lawless update brings back Vaults to Fortnite, but accessing them is tougher than ever. Luckily, Epic Games has introduced the perfect tool for aspiring heist artists: Thermite. This guide explains how to find and utilize Thermite effectively.
Locating Thermite
Acquiring Thermite is relatively straightforward. It can be found as floor loot, within chests, or purchased using Bars at Black Market locations and Outlaw Vending Machines (found in Crime City, Seaport City, Lonewolf Lair, and Masked Meadows). You can also obtain it from Go Bags. Simply pick it up to add it to your inventory.
Strategic Deployment: More Than Just Vault Cracking
While Thermite's primary function is vault opening, its utility extends beyond this. Here's how to use it:
Vault Heists: Place Thermite at the vault's entrance and wait for it to detonate. Targeting weak points accelerates the process. Remember, other players will be vying for the same loot, so stay vigilant.
Offensive Utility: Thermite can be thrown as a makeshift explosive. While not the most powerful explosive in the game, it provides a decent area-of-effect blast, offering a tactical advantage in close-quarters combat.
Fortnite is available across various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
