Get ready for a Sonic boom! Sega is celebrating the upcoming release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 with a flurry of exciting updates across its mobile Sonic game lineup. From Apple Arcade's Sonic Dream Team to Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces (available on the App Store and Google Play), these updates deliver fresh content inspired by the new movie.
First up, Sonic Forces receives a major update on December 12th, introducing a brand-new Metro-city Zone. This thrilling addition features three challenging courses playable as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other familiar characters. Complete these levels before you catch the movie for the ultimate immersive experience!
Next, on December 18th, Sonic Dream Team gets a significant boost with the addition of Shadow as a playable character, boasting unique abilities. Unlock him by tackling Tails’ Challenges. Shadow's Chaos Control and Chaos Shift powers allow time manipulation, freezing foes and the environment to your advantage.
This update also introduces new powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost for all characters, alongside exclusive upgrades (including Double Chaos Shift) for Shadow. Six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks are included, plus a revamped tutorial to ease new players into the game.
Finally, Sonic Dash's update arrives on December 20th, offering the chance to unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic by collecting cards. Daily collectible rewards add extra excitement. Sonic Dash+ on Apple Arcade will follow in January with its own Shadow-themed content.
