Rosa's Book Location in KCD2 Revealed

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, it's easy to overlook some side tasks, and missing them can lead to failed quests with no chance to return. One such task is finding Rosa's book, which is crucial not only for the quest but also for potential romantic developments with Rosa. Here’s how you can successfully complete this side quest.

Unlocking the Rosa’s Book Side Quest

To start the "Rosa's Book" side quest, you must first complete the "Via Argentum" quest and begin "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak, either through force or persuasion, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She will inform you about a secret passage into Maleshov, which you can use to rescue Hans. During your conversation, Rosa will request that you retrieve a specific book for her while you're there. Make sure to ask her about the book and promise to bring it back to her, which will officially start the "Rosa's Book" quest.

It’s important to note that you can only complete this side quest during the "Taking French Leave" mission. If you leave with Hans without finding the book, the quest will fail, and you'll miss out on the opportunity to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located on your path to Hans’ room.

Upon entering Maleshov, head towards the largest tower where Hans is held at the top. Use the stairs on the side of the building to reach the entrance. Once inside, you'll find another set of stairs and a kitchen nearby. Hide in the kitchen until the guards finish their conversation and leave the tower.

Next, quietly ascend the stairs to a room where Lady Ofka is sitting, facing the fireplace. Sneak up behind her and knock her out. Take the keys from her, as well as those from the podium and the sword from the chest in her room. In this room, you'll find Rosa's book positioned to the right of the fireplace in a window alcove. Pick it up, and your objective will update to return the book to Rosa.

While in the area, don't forget to enter the adjacent room and grab another sword from the chest there. This will save you time later when equipping Hans and his surprise guest. After securing the book and the additional sword, proceed to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with the "Taking French Leave" quest. Hans may not want to use the passageway, but you can advance your romantic prospects with him by selecting the dialogue option with a heart, provided you made the same choice in Trosky. Navigate to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, neutralizing any guards and hiding their bodies as necessary. Once the path is clear, signal Hans to ensure his safe passage to the stables.

Open the gate to initiate the final cutscene, concluding the quest. After the scene ends, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book, completing the "Rosa's Book" side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
