Polytopia Update: Aquarion Tribe Emerges as Maritime Masters

Midjiwan has unleashed a massive update for The Battle of Polytopia, completely revamping the Aquarion Tribe! This first special tribe, originally introduced in 2017, receives a much-needed makeover.

The Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation

The Aquarion's land units now sport mermaid tails, making them amphibious warriors. This allows them to traverse water effortlessly, although land movement is slower. A significant addition is flooded terrain, enabling land and naval units to occupy the same spaces for the first time.

Buildings and Structures Get a Dive

Construction now extends to the water. Build aquatic structures and discover Lost Cities nestled within deep-sea ruins – the ideal strategic base for seafaring conquerors. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops are back and permanently integrated into the Aquarion arsenal, functioning similarly to land-based crops.

New Sea Creatures Join the Fray

Prepare for underwater encounters! Sharks provide surprise attacks, Puffers offer long-range bombardment, and Jellies unleash electric shocks. Returning favorites, the Tridentions and Crabs, are also present; Crabs now flood the tiles they cross, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid troops. See it in action:
