Pokémon GO's New Year's Celebration: Festive Pokémon and Exciting Rewards!

Get ready to celebrate the start of 2025 in Pokémon GO! The annual New Year's event returns, running from December 30th to January 1st, 2025. This exciting event features themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of opportunities to ring in the new year in style. Following the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd), prepare for a week of festive fun!

This year's event offers a fantastic bonus: catch Pokémon with an Excellent Throw to earn a whopping 2,025 XP each! Enjoy the immersive atmosphere, complete with festive decorations and celebratory fireworks illuminating the skies.

Expect increased encounters with special, festively-dressed Pokémon. Keep an eye out for Jigglypuff with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat – and don't forget their Shiny variants!

Raids are also getting a festive makeover. One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates are boosted for all three!

Complete Field Research and Timed Research tasks for extra encounters and rewards. A paid Timed Research ($2) offers exclusive rewards including three Premium Battle Passes, three Lucky Eggs, 2,025 Stardust, and encounters with event Pokémon.

For additional items, the Ultra Holiday Box remains available in the Pokémon GO Web Store ($4.99), containing a Pokémon Storage upgrade, an Item Bag upgrade, and 17 Rare Candies. Don't forget to redeem those Pokémon Go codes for some free goodies!
