Pokémon GO's Shadow Raid Day: A Fiery Ho-Oh Returns!
Get ready for a fiery showdown! Pokémon GO announces a Shadow Raid Day featuring the legendary Ho-Oh on January 19th, 2025. This marks the first Shadow Raid Day of the year, offering trainers a prime opportunity to catch this powerful Fire-type Pokémon.
This event builds on the success of Shadow Raids introduced in 2023, providing a thrilling new way to acquire these unique Pokémon variants. Following successful past events featuring Shadow Moltres and Shadow Mewtwo, Ho-Oh takes center stage.
Event Details:
- Date: Sunday, January 19th, 2025
- Time: 2 pm to 5 pm local time
- Featured Pokémon: Shadow Ho-Oh (increased shiny odds!)
- Raid Passes: Up to 7 free Raid Passes from spinning Gyms (or 15 with a paid ticket).
- Special Move: Teach your Shadow Ho-Oh the devastating Sacred Fire Charged Attack (130 power in Trainer Battles, 120 in Raids/Gyms) using a Charged TM.
Boost Your Chances:
A special $5 event ticket will be available, boosting your Raid Pass limit to 15, increasing Rare Candy XL drop rates, and providing a 50% XP and 2x Stardust bonus in raids (until 10 pm local time). An Ultra Ticket Box ($4.99) will also be sold, including an event ticket and a Premium Battle Pass.
Beyond Ho-Oh:
The excitement doesn't stop there! Pokémon GO has a packed start to 2025, with recent events including Sprigatito Community Day and the introduction of Fidough. Future events on the horizon include Community Day Classic (January 25th) and the Lunar New Year event (January 29th – February 2nd).
