Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Event Brings Black and White Kyurem
Get ready, Pokémon GO trainers! Black and White Kyurem are finally arriving in Pokémon GO as part of the global GO Tour: Unova event, scheduled for March 1st and 2nd. This highly anticipated duo will be available in raids, offering players a chance to catch both their standard and shiny forms. The event also features special in-game backgrounds inspired by the original Pokémon Black and White games.
The arrival of Black and White Kyurem has been a long-awaited moment for many fans. These legendary Pokémon are incredibly popular, and their potential impact on the game's meta is significant. While a surprise early release occurred in 2023, their official debut within the Unova-themed GO Tour event is perfectly timed.
The GO Tour: Unova event runs from 10 AM to 6 PM local time on March 1st and 2nd. During this period, trainers can participate in raids to encounter Black and White Kyurem and their shiny variants.
Kyurem Fusion:
Similar to last year's Necrozma fusion, trainers can fuse Kyurem with other legendary Pokémon:
- Black Kyurem: Fuse with Zekrom using 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. Learns the move Freeze Shock.
- White Kyurem: Fuse with Reshiram using 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy. Learns the move Ice Burn.
Fusion Energy is earned by defeating Kyurem in raids. The fused forms persist until manually separated (a free process).
Event Bonuses:
Beyond the Kyurem encounters, the GO Tour: Unova event offers two unique backgrounds themed after Pokémon Black and White. Unlocking both requires fusing both Black and White Kyurem, granting access to a third, exclusive background.
With the event just weeks away, Pokémon GO players can look forward to adding these powerful Pokémon and exclusive rewards to their collections.
