Pokémon TCG Pocket's Wonder Pick event is stirring up excitement among players with its nostalgic charm and mysterious rollout. While details remain scarce – notably absent from the game's in-game news and official X (formerly Twitter) account – speculation is rife, particularly due to its potential connection to the ongoing Blastoise Drop event, given the shared bonus picks and Chansey element.
The event's confirmed highlights include special promo cards featuring Charmander and Squirtle, two beloved Kanto starters, adorned with an endearing Chansey illustration. These coveted cards, alongside the ever-valuable Chansey picks (allowing item or promo card acquisition without consuming Wonder Stamina), can be obtained through Wonder Picks.
Accumulating event shop tickets via Wonder Picks and specific card collection unlocks appealing accessories. These include a display board backdrop featuring Pokémon Trainer Blue and a binder cover showcasing Blue and Blastoise.
The Wonder Pick mechanic itself functions as a global Pokémon card scavenger hunt. Players select one of five randomized cards from booster packs opened worldwide. The inclusion of bonus picks and the opportunity to utilize Chansey picks to secure Charmander and Squirtle significantly raises the stakes.
