Pokémon Go is testing the Go Pass, its own version of the battle pass in a select few regions

By NoahApr 13,2025

Excited to earn new rewards in Pokémon Go? A thrilling new feature, the Go Pass, is currently being tested in select regions, and you can participate in it from April 1st to May 6th. This innovative system, inspired by the success of the Tour Pass during the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova, is set to roll out globally soon. If you're in one of the eligible areas, dive into the Go Pass: April and secure a host of exciting goodies.

Battle passes are all the rage these days, and now Pokémon Go is getting in on the fun. During the event, you'll have the chance to earn Go Points, which will help you level up your pass and unlock a variety of rewards. These include encounters with the majestic Xerneas, along with essential in-game items like Stardust, XP, and Poké Balls.

The Go Pass comes in two tiers: Free and Deluxe. The Free tier offers a solid range of rewards, but if you're looking to maximize your bonuses, the Go Pass Deluxe is the way to go. It includes premium rewards such as a Lucky Trinket, Candy XL, and a variety of useful items like Incubators and Lure Modules. The best part? You can upgrade to Deluxe at any time and retroactively claim rewards from ranks you've already unlocked.

As you progress through the Go Pass, you'll hit Major Milestones that come with additional perks. At Tier one, the duration of Daily Adventure Incense is extended. Tier two enhances the XP and Stardust you receive from Research Breakthroughs, while Tier three boosts the Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs. And as a final treat, the Deluxe reward includes another Lucky Trinket, ensuring you can guarantee a Lucky Friend.

Since the Go Pass is still in its testing phase, the rewards and structure may differ between regions. Some areas might offer different encounters, adjusted item rewards, or even PokéCoins at certain ranks. These variations will help Niantic refine the system before its broader release.

If you're in an eligible region, this is your golden opportunity to experience the Go Pass before it goes global. Make sure to claim all your earned rewards by May 8th, and remember to use your Lucky Trinket before it expires on May 11th!
