Path of Exile 2 Endgame: A Comprehensive Guide to Delirium Events

Path of Exile 2 features four major endgame events within the Atlas map: Rituals, Breaches, Expeditions, and Delirium. Delirium, a returning mechanic from previous Path of Exile leagues, is a challenging and rewarding endgame encounter. This guide details how to initiate Delirium events, navigate the Delirium Fog, access the Simulacrum Pinnacle map, utilize the Delirium Passive Skill Tree, and maximize your rewards.

Understanding the Delirium Fog Mechanic

Delirium Mirror Icon

On the Atlas screen, map nodes offering guaranteed endgame events are marked with specific icons. A Delirium Mirror node is indicated by a distinctive black and white icon. You can guarantee a Delirium event by inserting a Delirium Precursor Tablet into a Lost Tower.

Within a Delirium map, locate the Delirium Mirror near your starting point. Activating the mirror unleashes a swirling circle of Delirium Fog. This Fog expands across the map, increasing enemy difficulty as you progress. Leaving the Fog ends the encounter and resets the map.

Enemies within the Fog are significantly stronger but offer superior rewards: Distilled Emotions (used in crafting) and Simulacrum Splinters (used to summon the Pinnacle Boss). Fractured Mirrors, when encountered, trigger additional mob waves and increased loot. Be wary of Kosis and Omniphobia, powerful bosses that can randomly appear during the encounter (and potentially within the Simulacrum).

The Simulacrum Pinnacle Event

Each endgame event in PoE 2 provides materials to summon a Pinnacle Boss. High-tier Waystones within the Delirium Fog yield Simulacrum Splinters. Accumulate 300 Splinters to craft a Simulacrum, which can be placed in the Realmgate.

The Simulacrum is a 15-wave challenge with escalating difficulty. Delirium bosses have an increased chance of spawning in later waves. Completing the Simulacrum awards two Delirium Passive Skill points.

Mastering the Delirium Passive Skill Tree

Delirium Passive Skill Tree

The Delirium Passive Skill Tree, located within the Atlas Passive Skill Tree (top-left button on the Atlas Map, then top-right), modifies the Delirium experience. It features eight Notable nodes and eight nodes that increase Simulacrum difficulty. Each Simulacrum completion grants two points to invest in this tree. Increased difficulty is mandatory for accessing new Notable nodes.

Notable Delirium Passive Nodes:

Notable Delirium Passive Effect Requirements

Would You Like To See My Face? Doubles difficulty scaling, doubles Splinter stack size Get Out Of My Head!

Reaping the Rewards of Delirium

Distilled Emotions

Delirium Fog-affected enemies drop Distilled Emotions. Bosses yield these as well. Distilled Emotions are used for Amulet Anointing (applying innate Notable Passive Skills) and enhancing Waystones.

Simulacrum Splinters, also dropped by enemies, combine to create the Simulacrum for the Pinnacle event. Completing this event grants Delirium Passive points and a guaranteed unique item. Mastering Delirium will significantly enhance your Path of Exile 2 experience.
