Path of Exile 2 loot filters significantly enhance gameplay, especially during high-item density situations. They declutter the screen while highlighting valuable items, streamlining the looting process. While using a controller or playing on console might seem to complicate this, PlayStation and Xbox players can utilize filters just like PC users. However, the process requires a few steps.

How to Link Path of Exile 2 and Console Accounts

To use loot filters on PoE 2 consoles, you must link your console account to your Path of Exile account via the Path of Exile 1 website. Here's how:

  1. Log in to the Path of Exile website.
  2. Access your account settings by clicking your account name (top-left).
  3. Select "Manage Account" (right-side, below your profile).
  4. Under "Secondary Login," click "Connect" for either PlayStation or Xbox.

You'll then be prompted to log in to your console account. Complete the connection process to link your accounts.

Finding and Using Loot Filters

With linked accounts, return to your website profile and click the "Item Filters" button. Click the "Item Filter Ladder" hyperlink to access available filters.

Select "PoE 2" from the filter dropdown menu. Choose a filter (NeverSink's semi-strict or regular filters are recommended for new players) and click "Follow."

Finally, in-game, navigate to the Options menu, then the Game tab. Select your followed filter from the "Item Filter" dropdown and save your settings. Your chosen filter will now modify item appearance (labels, colors, sounds) within the game.
