Brazilian football superstar Neymar Jr. has joined forces with Furia, Brazil's leading esports organization, as president of their media football team. This exciting partnership positions Furia for the upcoming season of Kings League, a unique tournament blending traditional sports and esports.

Neymar expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting his long-standing support for Furia: "Anyone who follows me knows how much I've backed Furia since day one. I'll be working closely with the team whenever possible." His primary responsibility is assembling Furia's Kings League roster. The 7v7 tournament format requires a 13-player team, with 10 players selected by the president from a pool of 222 participants. Neymar will also have the opportunity to participate in matches via the "president penalty" rule.

Launched in Spain in 2022 by Gerard Piqué and streamer Ibai Llanos, Kings League has expanded globally. The fast-paced 2x20-minute matches feature unique gameplay elements like "double goal" bonuses and temporary player removals. The draft and presentation will be live-streamed on February 24th.
