Hotta Studios' upcoming open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test – exclusively in mainland China. While international players won't be able to participate, they can still catch glimpses of the game's progress.
Gematsu recently highlighted new lore details, expanding on the game's blend of comedic and bizarre elements within the city of Hetherau. Fans familiar with the trailers showcasing Eibon (see below) will likely find these additions unsurprising.
Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World (creators of the popular Tower of Fantasy), is venturing into a competitive 3D RPG market. Neverness to Everness aims to stand out with unique features, including open-world driving. Players can purchase and customize various vehicles, but be warned – crashes have realistic consequences!
The game faces stiff competition from titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both setting high standards in the mobile 3D open-world RPG genre.
