Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy's Precursor Basin: A Zoomer Driving Challenge Guide

Following your Fire Canyon adventure, Precursor Basin presents a less perilous, yet arguably more challenging, Zoomer-based level in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. This guide will help you conquer Precursor Basin's demanding objectives and collect every reward.

Herd the Moles

Begin by herding four moles back to their holes using the Zoomer. Utilize the Zoomer's hop for sharp turns to keep pace with the fleeing moles. Reward: A Power Cell from the Geologist in Rock Village.

Catch the Flying Lurkers

In the same area, chase and ram into the elusive Flying Lurkers. Strategically cut them off at turns for easier captures. The final Lurker drops a Power Cell.

Beat the Gorge Record Time (45 Seconds)

Gorge Race Track

This race near the Basin entrance requires precision and speed. Utilize Lurkers for extra height, and collect Blue Eco for speed boosts. Avoid Dark Eco Crates. A sharp 180-degree turn is needed after the first pit. A faster time (under 40 seconds) earns a trophy. Reward: A Power Cell from the Gambler.

Get the Power Cell Over the Lake

Starting from the slope used for chasing Lurkers, navigate narrow bridges and gaps using the Zoomer's hop. Time your jumps carefully to reach the Power Cell across multiple islands.

Cure the Dark Eco Infected Plants

Use Green Eco to charge the Zoomer and quickly drive over the purple plants to cure them before they regrow. Efficient turns and Green Eco refills are key. Reward: A Power Cell.

Navigate the Purple Precursor Rings

Purple Rings

This time trial requires you to fly through a series of rings before time runs out. The most challenging part involves a ring appearing in the air off a natural bridge; simply hop off the bridge and through it.

Navigate the Blue Precursor Rings

Blue Rings Start

The blue rings present a significantly tougher challenge. Master precise turns and jumps, especially the aerial ring over the lake and the hop off the hill near the Dark Eco Plants. Tricky Blue Ring Hop The final stages require careful navigation of narrow paths. Final Blue Ring Reward: A Power Cell.

Free the 7 Scout Flies

Scout Fly Location

Collect all seven Scout Flies scattered throughout the area. Some are easily accessible, while others require exploring various locations, including the islands and areas near the ring challenges. Reward: A Power Cell. Remember to check the locations near the Mole Holes, the bridges, and the raised area with the hole in the middle.
