Heroes of the Storm: Brawl Mode Returns!

Heroes of the Storm is bringing back the popular Heroes Brawl game mode, rebranded as "Brawl Mode," introducing a bi-weekly rotation of unique map challenges and discontinued maps after a five-year hiatus. This exciting update is currently live on the Public Test Realm (PTR) and will officially launch with the next patch, approximately one month from now.

The original Heroes Brawl, initially launched as Arena Mode in 2016, offered weekly rotating challenges with diverse map layouts, objectives, and rule sets. Examples included a Nova-focused sniper duel, Arena versions of existing battlefields, and the PvE mission, Escape from Braxis. However, due to the rising popularity of single-lane maps and maintenance difficulties, it was replaced by ARAM in 2020.

Brawl Mode's return marks a significant event for Heroes of the Storm fans. The new mode will rotate every two weeks, on the 1st and 15th of each month, offering a special chest reward for completing three matches during its active period. With over two dozen past Brawls, players can anticipate many favorites returning, along with potential new additions.

The current PTR features the holiday-themed "Snow Brawl" as the inaugural Brawl Mode. Given the PTR's three-week duration, the official launch of Brawl Mode is likely slated for early February. This revival is particularly timely, coinciding with Heroes of the Storm's 10th anniversary on June 2nd, 2025.
