In the heat of battle in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, taking damage is inevitable, especially for newcomers or those tackling higher difficulty settings. But don't worry, healing is a simple process. You'll need to use a special item: the trusty meat bun!
The game even offers an auto-heal feature for those who prefer not to micromanage their health constantly. Let's dive into the details.
How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Just like in previous *Dynasty Warriors* titles, meat buns are your go-to healing items. You can find these by smashing pots near enemy bases. There's also a chance enemy officers will drop them after defeat, but only on Historian and Wayfarer difficulty levels. Hero and Ultimate Warrior difficulties remove this drop.

To use a meat bun, simply press Up on the D-Pad, provided you have one in your inventory. If your inventory is full when you collect a meat bun, it'll be automatically consumed (unless you're already at full health, in which case it stays on the ground). Initially, you can only carry three, but the "Meat Bun Glutton" skill increases your carrying capacity if you find yourself needing more.

Prefer a hands-off approach? Enable the "Auto-Use Meat Buns" option in the Configuration menu. This automatically uses meat buns when your health dips below a certain threshold. Even with auto-heal on, you can still manually use meat buns whenever needed, making it a convenient option to have active.
