GTA V PC Release Scheduled for March 4

By AdamApr 21,2025

After over two years, PC players of *Grand Theft Auto V* are finally getting a major update that aligns the PC version closely with its console counterparts. Mark your calendars for March 4, as this update introduces features from the native PS5 and Xbox Series versions, which were launched in 2022. The best part? All current players will receive this update at no extra cost, with their progress in both GTA Online and the Story Mode seamlessly transferred without any additional steps required.

The bulk of the upgrade is focused on GTA Online, bringing a substantial amount of content that was previously exclusive to console players. Furthermore, the GTA+ subscription service is now making its way to PC, offering a range of benefits, including the ability to collect profits from in-game businesses at an accelerated pace. Rockstar Games has also enhanced anti-cheat measures to ensure a fairer gaming environment.

This update will also introduce significant graphical improvements, although it comes with a caveat: increased system requirements. Players with hardware that can't support the updated version will still have the option to continue playing the older version, which will remain supported by the developers. However, it's important to note that there won't be any cross-version support, meaning players on different versions won't be able to play together. Keep this in mind as you plan your gaming sessions.
