Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is gearing up for its first closed beta test on Android and PC! Netmarble's upcoming action-adventure title transports players to Westeros for a third-person experience. The beta begins January 15th and runs until the 22nd, initially available in the US, Canada, and select European regions. Android sign-ups are open now!
Unlike previous Game of Thrones mobile games which focused on strategy, Kingsroad offers a single-character perspective. Players become the heir to the lesser-known House Tyrell, embarking on a journey across Westeros filled with battles and quests for prestige.
The trailer showcases a Witcher-esque style, featuring third-person exploration and combat. Players can choose from three distinct classes: Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin. While visually promising, the ultimate test lies in gameplay.
Winter is Coming (or, you know, it's already here!) The closed beta registration closes January 12th, so register quickly! While Game of Thrones: Kingsroad looks impressive, it's sure to face intense scrutiny. Though the peak of Game of Thrones' cultural dominance may have passed, a dedicated fanbase eagerly awaits a truly immersive game.
Monetization strategies and long-term support will be key factors in its success. However, if Netmarble delivers, this could be the Game of Thrones experience fans have been hoping for.
