New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we're all still waiting for Nintendo Switch 2 updates, there's plenty to discuss regarding a fan-favorite franchise. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled new gameplay footage for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its Hawaiian pirate adventure and revealing key details.

The showcased gameplay highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse explorable locations. Goro Majima will boast two distinct fighting styles: a nimble, speed-focused approach and a more tactical style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can recruit a colorful cast of unique allies to bolster their crew, providing assistance in combat, exploration, and treasure hunting. The game promises a wealth of hidden islands and original side quests to uncover during gameplay.

A significant announcement concluded the presentation: the highly anticipated "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This is a welcome change from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this mode was initially exclusive to the pricier edition, drawing considerable criticism towards SEGA. This positive development means we only have to wait roughly six weeks for the game's official launch.
