FragPunk, a new 5v5 multiplayer first-person shooter, has launched on PC, receiving a mixed 67% rating on Steam based on initial player reviews. The game's unique selling point is its innovative use of fragment-cards. These dynamically alter gameplay mid-match, creating unpredictable and diverse combat scenarios. Developers describe the cards as combinable, counteracting each other, and adding a significant layer of tactical depth to the core FPS experience.
Players can select from 13 distinct launchers, each possessing unique abilities, catering to both collaborative and solo playstyles. FragPunk allows players to showcase individual skill in online matches.
However, Bad Guitar, the studio behind FragPunk, has announced a postponement of the console release. Initially scheduled for March 6th across all platforms, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions have been delayed due to unforeseen technical issues. While a new release date remains unconfirmed, the developers assure players of ongoing updates.
