Fortnite's new Reload mode throws players back to the game's roots with a modern twist! This fast-paced mode packs 40 players onto a smaller map featuring classic locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row. Nostalgia meets high-octane action.
What Makes Reload Mode Unique?
Reload mode offers intense squad-based combat where the game ends only when your entire squad is eliminated. No solo revives here – it's all or nothing! This applies to both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.
The action unfolds on a compact island, eliminating vehicles but overflowing with unvaulted weapons. Expect to find old favorites like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler.
Victory Crowns remain, and reboots provide a common Assault Rifle (plus building materials in Build mode). The Reboot Timer adds a strategic element, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40, but can be reduced by eliminating opponents. Players can also choose to instantly start their reboot.
Elimination and Rewards
Eliminated players drop Small Shield Potions, ammo, and building materials (in Build mode), keeping the battle intense and resource-driven.
The mode also includes intro quests offering substantial XP rewards. Complete three quests for the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, nine for the NaNa Bath Back Bling, and a Victory Royale unlocks The Rezzbrella Glider.
