Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Sign-Ups Open January 10th (PS5 & Xbox Series X/S Only)
The highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign network test begins accepting registrations this Friday, January 10th! This limited beta, scheduled for February 2025, will however, only be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is a cooperative Soulsborne experience set in The Lands Between, designed for three-player parties. Targeting a 2025 release, the upcoming network test is a crucial step in preparing for launch.
Registration Details:
The beta is expected to have limited spots. To register:
- Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website starting January 10th.
- Register, specifying your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
- Await confirmation email (arriving no later than February 2025).
- Participate in the test during February 2025.
Platform Limitations:
This initial network test notably excludes PS4, Xbox One, and PC players. FromSoftware has confirmed no cross-platform multiplayer for Elden Ring Nightreign, meaning the test will restrict players to their respective console ecosystems. Progress made during the beta is also unlikely to carry over to the full game. Further beta tests may be announced later.
Gameplay Restrictions:
Beyond the platform limitations, Elden Ring Nightreign will only support solo play or three-player parties; two-player parties are not supported. Whether the network test will include additional gameplay restrictions remains unconfirmed.
