This guide details how to obtain and utilize Old Coins in Dynasty Warriors: Origins. These coins become valuable later in the game, so early on, focus on the main story.
Using Old Coins
Old Coins are exchanged for rewards at the Shui Jing Retreat, accessible after completing the main story battles: "Suppression of You Province," "Suppression of Jing Province," and "Suppression of Liang Province." This unlocks Sima Hui, who facilitates the exchange. Rewards are tiered based on the number of coins exchanged. Always trade them in when you pass the milestone.

There are 500 Old Coins to find throughout the game. Don't actively farm them early; they'll accumulate naturally. Methods include:
- Overworld Exploration: Old Coins are scattered throughout the overworld. Their icon is small and only visible up close.
- Bond Interactions: Building bonds with companions and officers yields Old Coins.
- Inn Letters: Check the Inn for letters containing Old Coins after story events.
- Regional Peace Rewards: Collect rewards at Waypoints after achieving regional peace.
Focus on progressing the main storyline and exploring the overworld; Old Coins will accumulate organically. Their rewards enhance gameplay, but shouldn't be prioritized over story progression.
