Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2, the cult classic PlayStation survival horror games, are back! GOG, the DRM-free digital distribution platform, has released both titles for PC as part of its Preservation Program, ensuring the original content remains intact.
Originally released in 1999 and 2000 respectively, these Capcom titles have achieved legendary status among gamers. While Dino Crisis 3 followed as an Xbox exclusive in 2003, a new entry in the series has remained elusive, despite fan demand for a remake or sequel. Capcom's 2022 release of Exoprimal, a dinosaur-themed multiplayer game, and creator Shinji Mikami's comments further fueled speculation that a Dino Crisis revival was unlikely.
However, GOG's PC ports offer a much-needed solution for fans. Previously difficult to run on modern systems, these versions provide a smooth and enhanced experience. GOG highlights the preservation of the original content and the addition of several improvements.
