Netflix Unveils Devil May Cry Anime Opening Trailer, Featuring Limp Bizkit and a Multi-Season Vision

Following the announcement of its premiere date, Netflix dropped the opening trailer for its upcoming Devil May Cry anime adaptation. The trailer, set to Limp Bizkit's iconic "Rollin'," showcases dynamic action sequences featuring a young Dante, Lady, and the White Rabbit, peppered with nods to the game franchise.

Showrunner Adi Shankar elaborated on his vision for the series. He explained that the anime's setting in the late 90s/early 2000s is perfectly complemented by its soundtrack, which will prominently feature music from that era alongside Limp Bizkit. The series will also incorporate a synthwave remix of the game's soundtrack courtesy of Power Glove.

Shankar hinted at a broader, multi-season plan, stating that future seasons will adopt distinct visual styles and soundtracks to reflect the diverse nature of the Devil May Cry games. This subtly confirms the anime's intention to extend beyond a single season.

Plot specifics remain under wraps. However, the first season is anticipated to adapt elements from the Devil May Cry 3 manga, Code 1: Dante, focusing on a young Dante's investigation into a child's disappearance. This investigation will force him to confront his past, family, and the legacy of his demonic father, Sparda.

The eight-episode first season is slated to premiere on April 3, 2025.
