"Deadlock Update: Calico Nerfed, Sinclair Reworked"

By EvelynApr 20,2025

Valve keeps the surprises coming with their regular updates for Deadlock, and the latest one, though small, has made significant changes to four heroes. Calico has taken a substantial nerf: her Return to Shadows ability now has a ten-second longer cooldown, and 20% of its speed has been shifted to T2. Additionally, the damage output from her T2 Leaping Slash has been reduced. Sinclair, on the other hand, has seen a more positive update with new sounds and animations, and his Rabbit Hex ability has been transformed into an Area of Effect (AoE) skill. Both Holliday and Wraith have also been nerfed, though specifics on their changes were not detailed.

The update didn't stop at heroes; items also saw adjustments. Ammo Scavenger now provides fewer stacks and no longer offers a health bonus. Meanwhile, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot have lost their bonuses to Fire Rate and Weapon Damage, respectively.

This marks the fifth Deadlock update of 2025 and the first for February. Valve has shifted its strategy, moving away from a fixed patch schedule to releasing updates as needed. Today's update is a testament to this new approach, ensuring that the game remains fresh and balanced for its players.
