Koei Tecmo has unveiled an exciting new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, a romance game that expands on the beloved Team Ninja fighting game series. Scheduled for release on March 27, the game is in development for PS5, PS4, and PC. Additionally, a special "global version" will be available for purchase in Asia, featuring English text support, enhancing accessibility for a broader audience.
In Venus Vacation PRISM, players can immerse themselves in a tropical island setting, engaging in various mini-games, switching character personas, and exploring romantic storylines. The developers have promised a rich experience with multiple ways to build relationships with the heroines, offering a deep dive into the game's romantic narrative. This title represents an experimental shift for fans of the Dead or Alive series, providing a unique gaming experience while retaining the franchise's distinctive style.
However, Koei Tecmo faces ongoing challenges with fan-created content. The publisher annually removes approximately 200-300 doujinshi and 2,000-3,000 images of the Dead or Alive characters. While the series is celebrated for its engaging gameplay and charming heroines, often depicted in swimwear during battles, the proliferation of "adult" fan art has become a concern for the developers, leading to strict content moderation efforts.
