Krafton's mobile adaptation of Ironmace's popular extraction dungeon crawler, Dark and Darker, is gearing up for its soft launch in Canada on February 5th. Good news for the rest of the world: a global launch is planned for the first half of this year!
For the uninitiated, Dark and Darker blends the thrill of extraction shooters with the dungeon-crawling excitement of classic RPGs. Players, either solo or in parties, choose from a diverse roster of D&D-inspired classes—fighters, rogues, barbarians, wizards, bards, and more—to explore a vast dungeon, battling monsters and rival players to claim precious loot.
Ironmace's original PC version was a massive hit, quickly catching the attention of Krafton, who secured the rights to develop the mobile version. With a global release on the horizon, Dark and Darker Mobile is undergoing further refinements.
Enhanced Gameplay on the Horizon
Significant improvements are planned, including overhauls to the Darkswarm system and escape mechanics, designed to enhance the dungeon experience, especially for parties. Class differentiation will also receive a boost with refined basic attacks and combat mechanics, alongside the addition of a wider array of weapons and skills.
