Clue Mobile Now Features 2016 Suspects

Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital version of Clue, also known as Cluedo, and if you're a fan of this classic murder-mystery game, you're in for a treat. This pack allows you to step into the shoes of some of the iconic characters from the 2016 edition.

Who Are the 2016 Clue aka Cluedo Suspects?

The pack features well-known characters such as Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This release focuses solely on these characters, giving you the freedom to incorporate them into any scenario you wish, without being bound to specific crime scenes or case files. Whether you want to stick with your nostalgic favorites or mix them with the newer 2023 cast, the choice is yours.

The fanbase has been vocal about their desire to see these characters return, especially after the introduction of the 2023 characters, which some felt were too modern. It's great to see Marmalade Game Studio responding to player feedback with this exciting update.

There’s More Coming to the Game!

In addition to the 2016 Suspects Pack, Clue aka Cluedo is introducing a new game mode called the Retro Rules Set. This mode, which is free to all players, takes you back to the game's roots with the original 1949 rules. The Retro Rules Set revives classic mechanics, altering how you move and make accusations. For instance, tokens will start at designated spots on the board, and Miss Scarlet traditionally makes the first move, unless she's absent, in which case Colonel Mustard takes the lead.

In this mode, you must be in a room to make an accusation, and Clue Cards are not used. Additionally, you can't move through squares occupied by other players, adding a strategic layer to your gameplay.
