Treyarch is developing a much-requested in-game challenge tracker for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This feature, present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent from Black Ops 6's initial release, disappointing many players. While a release date remains unannounced, its inclusion is expected soon, potentially coinciding with the upcoming Season 2 update later this month.
A recent January 9th update addressed various bug fixes for both Multiplayer and Zombies modes. Multiplayer saw UI and audio improvements, along with an XP boost for the Red Light, Green Light mode. A significant Zombies change reversed a controversial alteration from the January 3rd update, restoring the original round timing and zombie spawn mechanics in Directed Mode following player feedback.
Challenge Tracking Feature Confirmed
Treyarch confirmed the challenge tracker's development via Twitter, responding directly to a player inquiry. The functionality, mirroring Modern Warfare 3's system, will allow players to monitor progress towards challenge completion (like Mastery camos) in real-time within the game's UI, eliminating the need to wait until match completion for updates.
Additional Upcoming Feature: Separate HUD Settings
Treyarch also confirmed the development of separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes, addressing player requests for customized HUD options depending on the game mode.
