The mobile RPG Boomerang RPG: Watch Out Dude, having surpassed 1 million downloads, celebrates with a crossover event featuring the popular South Korean webcomic The Sound of Your Heart.
The Sound of Your Heart, a long-running Naver Webtoon series by Jo Seok, chronicles the humorous misadventures of Jo Seok and his eccentric family. Boasting over 7 billion views and a Netflix adaptation, the series' comedic charm now enhances Boomerang RPG.
The Crossover Event: A Family Affair
This collaboration brings beloved Sound of Your Heart characters into the game. Players will encounter Jo Seok, his formidable wife Aebong (including her fearsome "Dark Aebong" alter-ego), his lovable father-in-law Jjaeddanyo, and Buuk Suh, Jo Seok's friend with unique health-related abilities.
The event challenges players to rescue Aebong, Jjaeddanyo, and Buuk Suh from a dungeon. Completing this unlocks them as playable characters. The final boss? The hilariously animated Dark Aebong, whose attacks are directly inspired by the webcomic.
More Than Just Characters
The crossover introduces a 21-day attendance event offering free collab characters. Limited-edition boomerangs themed after items like drumsticks, golf clubs, hair dryers, and styluses are also available. A Token Event allows players to collect food-themed tokens (kimchi, tomatoes, noodles, chicken) to exchange for unique magic effects and legendary boomerangs.
