Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8

Larian Studios announced a January stress test for Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 via a Steam post. PC players can participate via Steam, while console players (Xbox and PlayStation) can also join. Mac and GOG users are excluded. Registration is now open.

Larian plans extensive testing to identify and resolve any bugs or gameplay issues before the official Patch 8 release. Cross-play functionality is a key focus of this stress test. Larian acknowledges the complexity of implementing cross-play in a game of Baldur's Gate 3's scale and welcomes player assistance. Players are encouraged to recruit friends or find groups via the Larian Studios Discord server.

Although Patch 8 marks the final major update, Larian commits to ongoing support for modders. Significant updates are planned, enhancing modding capabilities to foster community-created content. Since September's release of official mod tools, the community has already downloaded over 70 million modules and uploaded over 3,000 mods.
