Once you complete the main storyline of Assassin's Creed Shadows, the game's expansive world remains open for you to explore. You can continue to engage with all the side content that the game offers, giving you the chance to fully immerse yourself in the rich setting of Feudal Japan. Additionally, post-launch, new weekly challenges will be added through the Animus, providing even more activities to enjoy, even after achieving 100% completion.

Assassin's Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained

After the credits roll, you might find that there's still more story to uncover. In my playthrough, the credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests of Yasuke and Naoe. However, I hadn't yet received the trophy for finishing Act 3 or the Epilogue. To unlock the true ending and the epilogue, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro, then return to the Hideout to speak with Tomiko. This will unlock the complete ending of Assassin's Creed Shadows and the associated achievements.

Towards the end of the game, you can also earn exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke. These sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist’s playstyle and are sure to delight fans of the Assassin's Creed series with their nostalgic designs. Post-credits, you can continue to level up to the game's maximum level cap, ensuring a robust endgame experience.

While the main story of Assassin's Creed Shadows concludes at launch, there's much to anticipate in the future. New content will be regularly added through the Animus, and the in-game store will likely see updates with new items. Furthermore, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is slated for release in 2025, which will introduce over 10 hours of new content and take players to the Island of Awaji.
