Damasi Rules

In Turkish Draughts, the game is played on an 8×8 board with 16 pieces (men) lined up on each side, in two rows, leaving the back row empty. Men can move forward or sideways one square and capture by jumping over an opponent's piece, but they cannot move backwards. When a man reaches the back row, it is promoted to a king at the end of the move. Kings have the freedom to move any number of squares forwards, backwards, or sideways, and can capture by jumping over any piece, landing on any square within the permissible path beyond the captured piece.

Captured pieces are removed immediately after being jumped. If a jump is possible, it must be executed. When multiple jumps are available, the sequence that captures the most pieces must be chosen. No distinction is made between kings and men during capture; each counts as one piece. If multiple sequences capture the maximum number of pieces, the player can choose which sequence to follow.

The game concludes when a player has no legal moves left, either because all their pieces are captured or they are completely blocked, resulting in a win for the opponent. Unlike other draughts variants, pieces can cross the same square more than once in a single capturing sequence due to immediate removal of captured pieces. However, within a multi-capture, turning 180 degrees between two captures is not allowed.
