Zenless Zone Zero 1.5 Update Leak: A Fall Guys-Style Platformer Event Incoming!

A recent leak suggests Zenless Zone Zero's Version 1.5 update will feature a brand-new event incorporating a multiplayer platformer game mode, reminiscent of titles like Fall Guys. This exciting addition is expected to arrive alongside the launch of new characters Astra Yao and Evelyn, anticipated for late January.

Version 1.4, released in December, introduced two new playable characters and an S-Rank Bangboo, along with two permanent battle-focused modes. However, Zenless Zone Zero frequently adds temporary event modes offering unique gameplay experiences. The current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" event, featuring a tower defense mode, exemplifies this.

Leaker Palito has unveiled screenshots hinting at the upcoming "Grand Marcel" event and its Fall Guys-inspired platformer challenges. While details remain scarce, this mode is likely temporary and will reward players with valuable Polychromes, supplementing the rumored additional free pulls for Version 1.5. It's currently unclear whether players will control their usual characters or Bangboo within these platforming stages.

A Familiar Formula?

This isn't HoYoverse's first foray into platformer events. Honkai Impact 3rd's 2022 "Midnight Chronicle" event, part of the 6.1 update, showcased similar gameplay. Players in that event controlled chibi versions of Honkai characters, suggesting a potential parallel for Zenless Zone Zero, possibly featuring chibi versions of existing characters or even the popular Bangboo.

Version 1.5, slated for January 22nd, promises much more than just the platformer event. The highly anticipated Astra Yao and her companion Evelyn will join the playable roster.
