HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.
AppMagic data reveals Zenless Zone Zero's total mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new areas, and game modes, all driving increased player spending.
The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with a focused banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this revenue surge.
This update also demonstrated exceptional player engagement. Unlike typical post-update spending dips after a week, Zenless Zone Zero maintained over $1 million in daily revenue for more than 11 consecutive days, and even surpassed $500,000 per day two weeks after the update's release.
While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero still trails behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, in overall revenue.
