The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, featuring a massive 90,000+ competitor registration for the year's inaugural international PUBG Mobile esports event. The Open Qualifiers, which commenced February 13th, provide a platform for emerging talent to compete for a coveted spot in the PMGO Main Event.
A substantial $500,000 prize pool is up for grabs, demanding teams prove their mettle through multiple qualifying rounds before facing established esports organizations. The amateur-only format ensures fresh talent takes center stage.
Teams boasting at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, aspiring squads will vie for a place in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll clash with top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
Twelve teams will ultimately earn the right to challenge PUBG Mobile's elite professionals in the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their Main Event berths based on their impressive PMGC 2024 performances. Four additional teams will qualify through regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers conclude March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament marks the beginning of a packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC slated for later in 2025.
