For completionists playing Pokemon TCG Pocket, the Promo Card section is usually a satisfyingly short list to complete. However, the enigmatic Promo Card 008 is currently causing frustration for many players.
The Appearance of Promo Card 008
The Promo Card section appeared complete until a new, unobtainable card mysteriously materialized around January 2025. A slot for Promo Card 008 suddenly appeared in the Promo – A Card Dex, creating a noticeable gap between Professor Oak (007) and Pikachu (009).

Unveiling Promo Card 008
Although currently unobtainable, investigating reveals what Promo Card 008 looks like. Accessing the "Related Cards" section (viewable by clicking on cards like Red Card (006) or Pokedex (004)) displays a greyed-out version.
This alternate art Pokedex features a Pokedex surrounded by Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.
Unlike cards acquired through missions or Wonder Pick events (which have specific event-related descriptions), the "campaign" wording is unique. This lack of clarity leaves the exact release date and method of acquisition uncertain.
Until its release, players seeking a complete collection can temporarily disable the display of unowned cards in the game's settings.
